TSA/ASO-certified agents to protect your aircraft, your passengers, and your ability to reach your destination
TSA/ASO-certified agents to protect your aircraft, your passengers, and your ability to reach your destination
Campbell Security and Services Group holds a TSA/ASO certification under the ICAP Federal Aviation Safety Officer Program. This federal certification allows us to deploy an aviation security officer on private aircraft landing at commercially restricted airports, including Reagan National in Washington, D.C., in compliance with the DCA Access Standard Security Program (DASSP).
Under DASSP, every flight must depart from a TSA-designated gateway airport with no intermediate stops, the operator must submit passenger and crew manifests 24 hours in advance, and a TSA-trained armed security officer must be onboard for the duration of the flight. Our ASO-certified officers meet this onboard requirement directly, which is what allows your aircraft to clear DCA landing instead of being turned away at the gateway stage.
Aviation security requirements can ground a flight plan if they are not addressed in advance. Campbell Security Group ensures your aircraft has the right credentialed personnel confirmed before your departure date.
For principals whose travel profile creates elevated risk, Campbell Security Group conducts an airport threat assessment that evaluates the departure and arrival environment, ground-side vulnerabilities, and transition points between aircraft and vehicle. This analysis feeds directly into the broader protective plan and ensures aviation security services are not operating in isolation from ground transportation and executive protection coverage.
Our aviation security services go beyond placing an agent on an aircraft. Every deployment is coordinated as part of a broader protective operation that accounts for the full journey, from departure to destination.
Which airports require a certified ASO agent for private aircraft?
Reagan National (DCA) is the most well-known, but requirements can vary based on the airport’s security designation, proximity to restricted airspace, and current federal threat levels. Campbell Security Group can review your specific flight plan and confirm exactly what is needed. Airports that are designated as commercially restricted or that fall under enhanced security protocols for general aviation access may require a certified ASO agent on board.
Can aviation security be coordinated with ground transportation and executive protection?
Yes. We handle aviation and ground transportation security as a unified operation. Your principal’s protection extends from departure to destination with no gaps in coverage between the aircraft and the vehicle. For clients with full executive protection programs, aviation security is built into the broader plan.
What if we need an ASO agent on short notice?
Campbell Security Group understands that flight plans change. While advance coordination always produces the strongest coverage, we maintain agent availability for time-sensitive deployments. For urgent needs, call directly at 314-499-1121.
